Few options, 0 directions by Crystal

My husband Is great with computers, and it took him five minutes to figure out that it saves the scans to "pictures" Why did the company not tell you that? Why can't you change the save locations??? Great job making a near worthless print/scan app, Epson...

    Agreed. by Dennis

Epson should be embarrassed to release an app with such lack of options. The other reviewers have said it all. Just recently purchased an Epson printer having had an early model in 1997 which I despised. I have been using HP printers since that time and their app is not perfect but far more functional. Take a look Epson! Have to say I am greatly pleased so far with my new Epson purchase but not at all impressed with this app. I have found that scanning at 300dpi then opening the result with another program such as Paint you can save it as JPEG and the quality is pretty good.

What did they do with the old program? by Phil

I was expecting the program I have on other computers under win 7 which is functional and useful....As I loaded this from the "Store" I read the complaints and asked myself what universe these comments came from. Alas, I opened up this dysfunctional PoS and understood immediately. It appears it is not at all related to the program I am used to on my other computers.....If this is the future for windows 8 and 10, I want no part of it. App was immediately removed

    No Document Printing by Matthew

Is a nice app with an easy to navigate interface. It read my wireless Epson printer easily. What I would have liked and the reason I installed the app was to print documents. No documents can be printed no matter what format they are in. Kind of a bummer since I do a lot of work on my Surface. I rarely take pictures and want to print them all documents. The funny thing is that I have to upload my documents to a third party and print a document through my phone. Epson you guys got it backwards. How is it that I can print documents from my phone, which I don't do any work on, but can print only pictures from a surface tablet? Can you please allow for printing of documents with this app?

I should have believed what I read by Amy

I didn't believe it could be this very basic. There are no options. Just scan - period. No options on where the scan saves or what it is named. No options for text versus photos. It is not worth the space to store the program.

    Terrible by Matthew

You would think on a Microsoft product like a surface, the app would allow you to print files like a .doc, .pdf, and .xls. The app can only recognize picture format. Since changing the file type each time i need to print something is a requirement, i feel like this app makes printing a document 100x harder. Rationally thinking, you would design an app for printing documents for a tablet that is designed to regularly generate documents. Regardless, I don't know a single person who uses their personal printer to print pictures. They are smart and realize a place like Walgreens can do it cheaper.

It's a piece of garbage by Unknown

Have a look at that scan menu. Do you see a button for saving this image anywhere. No! You scan an image off your scanner and look at it in that window there. You can't save the image as a file or do anything with the image other than just admire it in that window.
