Perfect Dictionary

Good, but the dictionaries are not complete and the formatting is inconsistent. For instance, "help," literally the first word I searched for, is not defined in the American Heritage dictionary. Although this appears to be an anomaly, it really shakes my confidence in the completeness of all the available dictionaries. Additionally, there seams to be several versions of the same dictionary which is confusing and further reduces my confidence in the available material. If these issues could be resolved, I would happily pay $20.00 + for such an application.

Sorry, but I had bad experiences with this App. I could not download the American Heritage dictionary. And it only allowed two dictionaries. Big let down.

The huge amount of downloadable dictionaries gives this app the ultimate word database. The whole interface is very friendly too, adapted perfectly to the windows theme. And the search engine is great, giving a list of results first instead of the exact word. Oh and also capable of enabling/disabling your different dictionaries for a clean search. Perfect. Just perfect.

Developer still did not answer my question. But I found out how to import dictionaries. It has to be .zip with .dict .idx .ifo files inside. Hope it helps.

It is so helpful to look up a word you don't know. I think its a great dictionary app because it lets you search with more than one dictionary at a time. It has bookmarks. Yep it's great and if you pay a dollar and tax you can get no ads.

The reason I enjoy this app is because it allows me to look up definitions or synonyms without having to do so online (dictionary.com). I use it a lot on both my Windows phone and computer, and I've found many of its features very useful. I would recommend upgrading to the paid version, not only for ridding yourself of the ads, but also for the ability to download as many dictionaries/thesauruses as you'd like. In short, I think this is the best word reference app available on the Windows Store. UPDATE: one problem is the messed-up formatting in most dictionaries available to download. This should be fixed because sometimes you can't even read a definition entirely!
