Description

Gotya turns the cameras (front and back) on your phone into remote-controlled motion detection cameras. Gotya automatically takes pictures and alerts you when anything moves - anywhere that involves your security, curiosity, or interest.

Unlike video security camera apps that record and send you a lengthy video even if something just happened for a second - Gotya operates as a photo surveillance camera that will send you just the picture frames of something happening at the scene. Gotya can capture up to 15 fps so you won't miss a thing.

A video with unchanged scenery is just like a still picture. So why do you need to drain the power and pay for data transfer for seeing unchanged pictures? Use Gotya on-demand snapshot instead. Using Gotya you don't need to spend time watching or fast forwarding a full video clip to find frames of your interest. This is possible because Gotyam just captures and gives you the frames you want to see.

Use Gotya as portable motion detection camera to watch things for you wherever you are. Connect it to the Gotya Cloud Service for remote control with instant snapshots, email/picture/sound alerts, and cloud photo backup so your pictures are always safe.

Gotya is perfect for your old devices – use them as motion detection cameras and monitor them from the device you use daily.

Gotya your 3rd eye.

It does the job and takes a lot of pictures, like a video if you joined them, which is good. I use it at night, plugged, outside my house, to monitor cats, opossums and any others coming for food. If you get "Cannot connect to cloud service. Please goto Cloud Service to logout then relogin and try again." with 1.0.2 and earlier, disable Wi-Fi, as the author suggested and worked here.

Overall worthwhile, especially with all the memory spared and time saved from otherwise having to record and analyze video of any length. The only trick is calibration. Dialing in your camera and it's settings which [being relatively specific to external and internal factors like] the purpose or intended object, nature and environmental conditions of your situation (How/What/Where/When/speed/size & frequency) can prove a little tricky. As any of those factors may change, i.e. lighting - time of day etc., recalibration is often necessary as there is no auto adjust and, to render such tech/ability would likely cost you some. Great app thanks all. P.S. With an old camera phone or drop cam, works wonders behind a peephole. You can not only view & monitor your peep from measurable distance(like from across the room), also be surprised just who(being unaware of your setup) may tryn peek your peep, listen, etc. To conceal Fr. visitors, simply hang a jacket/hoodie inside door ovr cam.

Pretty cool. I give only four stars because I've only used it once. But it was easy to set up and use.

    Works Great! by Andy

This is a well done app. Well worth the month/yearly fee if you want remote and cloud storage. The free version works well as a stand alone monitor. Thanks! Good job!
