Description

Discover and analyze Bluetooth Beacons!

Scans and shows details about every Google Eddystone beacon in your surroundings (including URL, UIDs and Telemetry data like temperature and battery voltage). Also discovers Apple iBeacon signals.

Immediately shows important beacon information: * Bluetooth address (MAC) and signal strength (RSSI) * Apple iBeacon - Uuid - Major ID - Minor ID * Eddystone UID frame: - Ranging data - Namespace ID - Instance ID * Eddystone Telemetry (TLM) frame: - Version - Battery [V] - Beacon temperature [°C] - Count of advertisement frames sent since power up - Time since power up * Eddystone URL frame: - Ranging data - Complete URL * Eddystone EID frame: - Ranging data - Ephemeral Identifier * Raw payload for all other beacons

The app is released under the open source GPL license and is based on the open source Universal Beacon Library: https://github.com/andijakl/universal-beacon

The app requires Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) support by your device hardware.

Eddystone is an open source Bluetooth Beacon specification released by Google under Apache license. iBeacon is a trademark of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries.

Beacon Signal strength averaging by Unknown

just wondering the signal strength displayed in app is the averaged signal strength or signal strength at that instance. Also I didn't find the app displaying name of the beacon and UUID for iBeacons.

Very good demo, very good library by Philip

Well-designed, simple app that gives you the information you want about beacons

    This works well by Wade

It'd be nice to be able to copy the info for a given beacon, especially the address, to clipboard on Windows mobile.

    Shows nearby beacons by Simon

It would be great if you could interact with the beacons, as this app's name suggests. You cannot open Eddystone URLs or manage the beacons at all.

    Excellent application by Ahmed

It could detect both iBeacons and EddyStone devices around displaying all the required frames like URL, UID, TLM,....etc. Keep up the good work!

Works fine and also lists estimote nearables by Matthias

Doesnt show the information as published by the estimote nearables (stickers) yet (does in hex though) so some room for improvement of parsing it but great for dev testing. Also at least estimote stickers cannot be reliably identified via MAC because they seem to change, which causes the list to get fuller and fuller. Not a big deal for normal range testing though or using the underlying library as a dev.
