Turn your phone into a GPS Tracker and Variometer.

Up Wind uses your phone's GPS to track your movement (either on the ground or in the air). It then stores the track in a standard GPX format either on your phone or your SkyDrive. You can play back your track right in the app or the resulting GPX files can even be loaded into Google Earth for playback.

Downloadable HERE Maps are supported so you don't need live data to use this app.

Using your GPS we have built in a variometer that will do beeps and tone based on your rate of ascent or descent. The GPS tracker is triggered on your movement and the tracker can be used in Landscape or Portrait mode.

NOTE: The variometer and other flight tools make use of your device's GPS and are no substitute for professional flight tools that use more accurate methodologies. We cannot guarantee the accuracy and operation of this app in any way.
