Squeeze Control

This is a great application. I use a Logitech Duet to stream music from my NAS to my stereo. I was frustrated with the miniscule battery life for Duet remote. I purchased this app because I have too many files to be able to find anything by browsing artist or title, and this has the same search function as the Logitech remote. This app works perfectly, and it is nice to see the album and song info displayed on my phone, which has a much larger display than the Logitech remote. If I used the setting that prevented my phone from sleeping while playing music my battery will last for 6 hours; if I let it hibernate after 5 minutes the battery life is extended to 20 hours (while continuing to use the phone for other tasks, but with Bluetooth off). There is a live tile in the current version. My only request would be to increase the timeout limit (which can be set to 10, 20 or 30 seconds), as the size of my music library (150,000 tracks) requires roughly 60 seconds to search for a song.

VERY expensive! However this Squeezebox app is the ONLY one available that includes ratings (thumbs up/down) for Pandora. Automatic configuration worked without a hitch. Very customizable and detailed configuration settings. Top notch development work! Playback interface could use some simplification though. Volume is awkward but not overly so. Dinged one star for excessive price and lousy 1 hour trial. Very glad to have the Pandora ratings.. Thank you! Need Windows 8 Metro companion app included for one price.

Compared to the other squeezebox remote control apps, this one has the best interface in my opinion. Works flawlessly too. Price has also been reduced to be closer to its competitions. Highly recommended.

This is the best Squeezebox app for WP that I've used. It is the truest replication of the Duet controller while still taking advantage of WP elements like sorted lists and pivots. It also includes Pandora thumbs up/down feedback which other apps are sorely missing.

This is garbage. All it did was crash my network. After downloading and trying to synch it to my squeezebox touch, it required a lot of network access and once given, only led to things that used to work being unusable. This includes the mysqueezebox.com interface. This appears to be nothing but phishing software.

Needs a live tile to be a complete and useful remote but otherwise is very good.

Won't connect to a local server. No way to troubleshoot. Only app of this kind I have tried that can't find my server. Will wait for future upgrades

A nice alternative to using the LMS web control on my PC. I hope the developer continues to refine/support this app as well as he does the Android version.
