Description

This is a serious application for the recreational sailor.

This app uses the windows phone platform to implement a digital nautical bearing compass. Its capabilities go far beyond those of traditional bearing compasses. Anyone who was traveling through a dense traffic sea area wished many of these features.

Special attention was paid to the handling on board; on deck of a rolling yacht, even at night and under adverse conditions.

The app covers all uses of a bearing compass, in particular: • Identifying risks of collision (CBDR- constant bearing, decreasing range) • Obtaining a fix through 2,3 or 4 bearings, or as a „running fix“ • Transiting channels and fairways • Determining relative speeds during a race (“is he winning?”)
