Description

One of the basic principle in a successful treatment of patients with TB diagnosis consists in administration of TB drugs directly observed throughout therapy (DOT). According to actual protocols, TB treatment can last up to 6-8 months for sensitive forms of TB, and up to 24 months for resistant tuberculosis forms. Providing administration of DOT treatment requires patients to make daily visits to medical institution. An alternative in international practice is video observed administration of TB drugs (Video observed treatment - VOT). VOT tool is applicable for video recording of the drugs using computers or smartphones.
