Nice little utility by Leslie Richelle
Does exactly what it claims: pins anything to Start (except .exe). Very useful and you can't beat the price (free, + voluntary donation--which I did).

The app should suggest image sizes for both wide and square tiles, and how those will impact the way the image is displayed in the tile based on the stretch options (none/fill/uniform/uniformfill) and center tile image option choices.
