Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition

Bought the definitive edition today and tried playing but no characters are unlocked. Tried restarting PC and application but still no characters. So what did I pay $40 for?

Trying to play the free version of this is doable, but if you are a KI fan it's worth it to upgrade to this version to unlock all characters. Please note this does not unlock all skins, however all main characters are unlocked with this version. It also comes with a seperate app with KI soundtracks and videos. It DOES NOT include the old Killer Instinct games on Windows 10, which was quite a shame. As far as the game itself, it plays more or less like the older KI titles with a coat of fresh paint. Some of the new characters feel a bit out of place, like the Arbiter from Halo or the Battletoads, but this is easy to overlook once in the heat of a fight. Game runs fine on mid range hardware. The machine I ran this on uses a Haswell i3 at 3.7 GHZ, a Geforce GTX 750 ti, with 16 gigs of RAM. I never noticed any major stutters or lag, and online play was much smoother than other PC fighters such as Mortal Kombat X.
