    Love this by Matt

So happy that they've remastered AOE1, finally. A group of us have been playing the OG game using a 90's CD, on Windows 10, for some time. The new graphics are beautiful. It feels like a whole new game, with enough enhancements to help fix some of the nagging issues but not so many as to make it feel *too* new. Runs great at 4k on my 1070 Amp! Extreme. <3

WAIT TO BUY - THIS GAME WILL NOT LAUNCH by Trenton

The dev team behind this should be embarrassed to have released a game that will not even launch for the majority of players. Seriously, you press "Play", the window pops up, the screen goes black, waits for a moment, and then just vanishes. No amount of uninstalling and reinstalling has fixed this issue but the bigger problem here is that such a glaring bug was allowed to just slip by whatever level of quality control they 're operating with. Seriously, as it stands currently, you are playing with 50/50 odds (and that's being generous) with your $20 which, granted, is more "playing" than I've had with Age of Empires: Definitive Edition so maybe you'll get some fun out of this after all. But don't just take my word for it, feel free to sift through the overwhelming amount of similarly salty reviews readily available in every AOE forum I've come across. I'm out.

Not to shabby for 20 dollars. by Britton

The game seems to have a problem sometimes and closes on launch. Player must work around it by installing any app from the store and then uninstalling the random app. That needs to be fixed, or add an offline mode. While I wish the game had some of the features found in the AoE2 it does not but the game is quite fun and the campaign is very challenging. As for the crash on start up mentioned above, this seems to be related to the Connected User Experiences and Telemetry service. I had it disabled on purpose but found that it must be enabled to make achievements show up and to actually complete them. As a side effect of that the crash on start up hasn't happened as much, but it still happens sometimes, though I am not sure why.

After 3 days of purchasing I can't open the game up by John

I was hesitant to buy the game after finding out it was windows store but I wanted to get it so I bought it. Now in typical windows store fashion it no longer works. The intial screen window pops up and then closes out after about 2 seconds.
