Description

Have you ever seen the Mandelbrot Set? If not, then this app will allow you to explore this mathematical object and discover some of the most mind-blowing patterns of nature. There is no other known shape as diverse and as mesmerizing as the Mandelbrot.

After you've seen this, you will not resist the temptation to use the 'pictures' you'll take as your wallpaper.

This program is designed to provide as fun of an experience as zooming into a fractal can be. Mandelbrot Renderers can be written in 20 lines of code. This app is far more extensive and feel more responsive, more natural. The algorithms are optimized to save up to 75% in rendering time. A variety of color schemes can be easily previewed and chosen from to provide enjoyable customization.

Fractal Photographer is fantastic!!! by Rob

Love it! Finally it is so easy to go so many deep places within the set in very little time and get great resolutions, renderings and color schemes! I dreamt of this day 25 years ago when I struggled with my monochrome screen and black/white printer! And such an easy download straight from the Windows store. Very nice!

    OMG! by Cherise

I absolutely love this! I did a little reading on what Mandelbrot Fractal was. Seen these pictures before but was clueless. I couldn't see how it had anything to do with math. The more I played around with it I began to see how nothing is as it seems. Amazing. I actually thought I understood that the earth and everything in it was sensible. lol I wish I could put into words how I was feeling. I kept going and wanting to stop moving it or getting closer but even a little nudge would change everything. It was like I wanted it all. lol I absolutely love this and am so grateful that I tried it out because it was free and curiosity too. Thanks again!

    Lacking choices. by Sam

The clarity of going beyond pixilation is marvelous, and of all the aspects the only thing it lacks is the ability to chose other types of Mendolbrots, like Julia sets.Plus I purchased the X-tras set but can not seem to access them.

    Excellent Mandelbrot program by Will

This is an excellent program. It renders extremely quickly, maintains the correct aspect ratio (unlike others), has interesting color selections, etc. If you like zooming into Mandelbrot sets then this application is for you!

    Dimensional fun by Bryan

A creative way to interact with geometry. A good set of features for making wallpapers. Look forward to more editing controls such as saturation, etc.

Exploration Discovery Creativity Beauty by Z

This app is very simple to learn, but has an infinite scope of beauty to explore and discover. It allows you to save beautiful images as png or to simply bookmark them and return later. Most satisfying app for Windows 8. Optional touchscreen computer allows perfect control of zoom and rotation.
