Description

Cities: Skylines – Windows 10 Edition puts you in charge of a growing city – from the ground-breaking of its first streets to the ever-changing needs of thousands of citizens. Design, build, and manage the city of your dreams, from public services to civic policies, and challenge yourself to grow from a simple town to a bustling metropolitan hub.

Cities: Skylines is an award-winning, best-selling management game, now available for Windows 10 with all of its robust city-simulation gameplay and unique charm along for the ride. The Windows 10 Edition includes the base game and the popular After Dark expansion, allowing players to plan and design for their cities’ nightlife and tourist attractions.

Main Features: - Build the city of your dreams: Plan road networks, bus lines and parks. Bring on a smog-filled industrial revolution or create a quiet beach town ideal for tourists powered by renewable energy. Bring education, healthcare and safety to your citizens. Build it your way!

- Multi-tiered and challenging simulation: Playing as the mayor of your city, you’ll be faced with balancing essential requirements such as education, water electricity, police, firefighting, healthcare and much more, along with your city’s economy. Citizens within your city react fluidly, keeping you on your toes with ever-evolving demands.

- Extensive local traffic simulation: Managing traffic and the needs of your citizens to work and play will require the use of several interactive transport systems – use careful road planning alongside buses, trains, subways, and much more.

- Districts and policies: Be more than just another city hall official! Create a car-free downtown area, assign free public transport to your waterfront, or ban pets in suburbia. Designate parts of your city as a district in order to set policy at the local level, and give different parts of town their own personalities.

- After Dark included: Watch your city become an entirely different place at night: a day-night cycle will have your citizens seeking out places to unwind after work. Add in new policies and zones to create popular hotspots and provide enough taxis and trains to get to and from the clubs!

    It's working again! by Luke

A great city building game. Much more customizability than SimCity, and yes you can use it with a mouse and keyboard just fine. The only problem is that it stops saving your game automatically about 15 minutes into the game, so remember to save folks, or you will be out of a game!

    Very good... by Brandon

I had great performance on my PC, no major issues found in the time I played. A few small issues such the mouse pointer still showing when using an Xbox controller, but that's not uncommon even in other games unfortunately. Also edge scrolling when going to the top or bottom of the screen had some issues working for me, but overall very few issues. Cities: Skylines is one of the best city management games out there, if not the best. Highly recommend it. UPDATE: I have been getting some blue square glitches in intersections if I set level of detail to high, setting it to med makes it go away. This is on a GTX 970 with drivers up to date. Overall I still haven't had many issues, but a patch or two would be nice to solve some of the graphical glitches.

Great Potential....A Lot of Issues by Derrell

If you have a touch screen and touch part of the screen, the game freezes causing you to restart....2-In "Budget" menu, top bar (electricity) is frozen and will not move forcing me to spend way more in electricity then I can afford. This was not an issue initially. Reinstalled game with same result...3-After a while playing, the game doesn't allow me to manually save. I have auto save set for every 5 minutes but I don't believe it is saving properly.. At the end of the day, I pllay the game often. I do prefer this over Sim City, however with the promotion on Windows and great ratings on Steam, i thought this may be a good purchase, however I feel I should have purchased the non Windows store version for more flexibility. Hopefully with the new Windows store platform we can expect updates from the developer in regards to optimizing the game to its potential. Fix the issues and I will change my star rating

Love the game - does not run on Surface Book well by Tim

I love the game, so I purchased on Windows to play when I am not near my Xbox (wish it was a Play Anywhere, though). Unfortunately it does not play well on my Surface Book even though the specs showed it should be playable. It would not allow me to change the GPU settings to use the dGPU so it is trying to use the integrated, which give a very poor experience. If Microsoft would give an easier way to control Windows App graphic card settings, this probably would not have been an issue. 4 stars because I really do enjoy the game, just not in my specific scenario on PC.

    Stunning by Kurtis

I love this game. It gives the option to let you be in total control of a tiny town, or a metropolis. The details are stunning, and I know you will have tons of fun!

The game is now fixed, making it no longer get stuck at the loading screen. Now that I can actually play it, it is a fun game.
