When using multiple metro apps at the same time and when ispyUI is in view all mode the video feeds become stacked on top of each other which is great because I can watch tv and view all my cameras line up on one side of the screen. The problem is only one of the camera feeds works the rest freeze. After awhile all the videos feeds freeze. The second when ispyUI is expanded to be the only app on the screen all the camera feeds unfreeze and work perfectly.

People who say it does not work are wrong. They are just not familiar with the loopback so it's user error, but iSpy should find a solution or warn people. The app is buggy but nice to have.

States you can us this free, if you on the same LAN. Get Access Denied on the same machine as the ispy server.

I was looking for local only access. Product description implies ispyconnect subscription is needed for remote only. To require exposing the fact that this system is in use by making its presence known to any cloud hosted system is unacceptable and would expose the security to outside sources and hacking. In todays world where even governments are regularly hacking centralized datacenters and collecting private information, this kind of exposure is unacceptable.

So the app that is supposed to be used with my cams doesn't even work, but this program not only works but gives me a lot of great options like camera angles object tracking, zoom. great app. only issue was trying to figure how to get to see my cams at first, so in the case no one tells you look for the bold cam in the wizard that is the live feed.

since the last update doesn't work reinstalled it several times, thanks for the good times but moving on

In general good functionality, ok with win 8.1 update, still improvements needed. In order to have it working through VPN, make sure that you have access both to the computer using iSpy and also to internet for server authentication.

Ive used Ispy for Months now and the app is a great app. I am an avid user. However... The windows 8 app does not work. No matter how it is configured it does not transfer the data even on a local network. It always reads comm error. Sadly I cannot use the app even with my account. Not even worth the download and no help fixing the problems. If they would import the timeline info into the base program it would be unstoppable but I guess they do not see the value in being able to visualize
