    Forza Motorsport 7 by NxtDoc1851

While FM7 is has improved over its predecessors, it has one glaring issue. These garbage loot boxes, and cutting content from the VIPs. I have become really upset over games becoming a "service". It seems now that Turn 10 built Forza around loot boxes and micro transactions, rather than making the game more in depth, deeper, and enriched with content. This must be Phil Spencer forcing his games as a service agenda, rather than pushing the best racing sim developers into making a rich, deep single player experience. Forza Motorsport 7 will be the last Forza I purchase if this is the direction the franchise is going.

    Feeling betrayed by jordan

well to start things off there was the bait and switch with VIP. And then the introduction of the loot crate system... People wanted innovation in the racing genre from this game, instead we've been given something is taking 2 steps backwards. I love Forza and I was tricked into buying the ultimate edition by a group I thought I could trust... Disappointed beyond belief. I would only recommend this game to those who wish to buy the basic version of and want to either grind more than they did in destiny 1 or wish to spend an extra 100 on the micro transactions the game was designed around.

T10 NEEDS TO REMOVE HOMOLOGATION FROM CAREER!! by Mike

Homologation destroys all of the fun I've had in previous Forza games. Having the ability to pick a car, upgrade it multiple times, and race with it throughout career as you progress through the ranks was the best part. We are car people. We want to upgrade, tune, build road cars that challenge race cars, etc. Homologation destroys all of that. I can understand the strict and ridiculous standards for multiplayer and leaderboard-type play, but this is a deal-breaker in career mode. There is absolutely no reason to have it, BESIDES PUSHING PEOPLE TO MICROTRANSACTIONS IN THE FORM OF CAR CRATES. Destroy the freedom of modding, create a need for a new car for every race, and everyone gets bored of grinding until they pay $ for cars.. This needs to be an ON/OFF "feature". Otherwise, you are destroying a game for a large percentage of your fans.

Freemium Economy, Full-Price Game by Orochi

The economy of this game is utterly broken. Money is meted out at a paltry rate, requiring players grind races just to progress in the campaign. It's anti-fun. T10 finally addressed the scandalous VIP pass, but the lack of drivatars in private lobbies remains a deal-breaking issue. Here’s hoping Microsoft heeds customer feedback and fixes a once great franchise.

A Real Hearty Review from a Real Car Enthusiasts by VayaConDios1

Let me start by telling you this is a long, in detail review of FM7. Overall, this game is both magnificent and mediocre, so I will make 2 groups: PROS and CONS. Starting with the PROS, it has amazing graphics, period. The mod system is better, in which the prize cash is greater and can be challenging. But, the best mods are 3 race only and cost in-game credits. Gameplay is diverse and enjoyable by enthusiast from a child who loves cars to a more serious gamer. However, 65%ish of the cars are well overpriced. A BMW X5 M cost $435,000 dollars, more than a Ferrari 488 GTB. A Lamborghini Diablo SV Cost over $1,000,000...Hilarious and Ridiculous. Also, money isnt plentiful enough to suite the outrages prices. Players no longer get rewards for difficulty like TCS or STM off, only with drivatar difficulty. Multiplayer is terrible, from bugs to missing modes. Homologations ruin races. FM4 had a nice offline mode which was huge and diverse. FM needs to go back to what the community loves.

    Beautifully disappointing. by teufelpup

First off, Turn10 or microsoft saw fit to delete my last review. So here it is again with one less star for being manipulative and also slightly shorter because its tedious typing on here. Forza 7 is beautiful to behold. It feels a slight bit more arcade-ish than the previous installment, but its still a fine driving sim in its own right and the physics are spot on to make it challenging and deeply frustrating sometimes, but also the potential to be incredibly enjoyable. The devs at Turn 10 however seem to have gone all “big government” and think we should be told how exactly we need to play this game. The absurdity of the homologation aspect is downright insulting and is enough to push me away from the franchise entirely even though I’ve been with it since Forza 2. No idea what they were thinking. So many more negative things i could say but, alas, I’m out of room. In short, a beautiful game spoiled by rules.

Would have been 5, but... by ZFelps

They apparently changed VIP bonuses back to being permanent, but no more big prizes on levels. They basically made it much harder to get high end cars or credits. The prize crates are totally ridiculous. The entire game screams monetization; despite there not being any actual in-game sales (Marketplace has yet to open) it still makes the cash and car build up very slow and grindy and thats why it will remain at 3 stars, not 5. I've pre-ordered the last 3 or 4 ultimate editions, but I will be double checking the next Horizon title. Seems to be the new direction of gaming.
