Description

The best cure for phone addiction. ** Featured as "top paid app" for 30 consecutive weeks ** Microsoft Community Champion student group winning app

Have you ever been addicted to your phone and just cannot put it down? Forest provides an interesting solution to beat your phone addiction. You can plant a seed in Forest. In the next 30 minutes, this seed will gradually grow into a tree. However, if you cannot resist the temptation and leave this app to check Facebook or play a game, your tree will wither away. With this interesting mechanism, the sense of achievement and responsibility will drive our users to stay away from their phone with no pain.

**Update (6/5/16): In order to make sure the app doesn't fail me just because I lock my phone, I just decided to set the app to keep the phone on. I'd prefer it if I didn't have to do that, but whatevs... At least the option is there. Also, I found out that this app was free on Android. What's up with that? :/** I like what this app does, and it really helps with keeping myself distraction-free when working. The interface looks really nice and simple as well! But the notification for when the timer is done rarely pops up on time; I usually get notified around 10 minutes after the timer is done. Other than the little things, this app is pretty nice and does what it's supposed to! To the dev: Keep up the good work! :)

Love this app. I have become extremely productive. I wish I could adjust the time so I could sync it with my pomodoro 25 and 5. Great app though Update: Still 4 star rating but there's a bug. The timer through the lockscreen is completely off. It goes from 29 to 25 to 2 (but the 30minutes passed about 10 minutes ago) according yo my stopwatch. Hope that helps

The fifth star will be given if I can ever define multiple time-limit templates. (If this feature is already present, then it's buried so deep that I've yet to find it...or I'm blind; that's also possible.) I'd rather not have to fiddle with that frequently. "Sleep: 8 hours!" Or being able to say, "Kill the tree if I use my phone before such-and-such time" would be nice: "If I use my phone before the next time 6AM rolls around, kill my tree, because I shouldn't be looking at a bright screen at night!" Just some suggestions; there IS room to grow, and as a web developer myself, I do like that. PLEASE don't EVER change that just viewing the lockscreen doesn't kill a tree; sometimes I don't want to PLAY with my phone in a situation, but I DO need to see what time it is, look up the number day, double-check the day of the week, whatever.
