Appy Weather

I've been using Windows (phone) since the week it launched and don't believe I've found an application that is as richly done as this. Appy Weather turns meteorological data into the bottom-line information I use for my outdoor attire and activity decisions and does it through one of the most engaging interfaces I have experienced on the platform. Just tap anywhere on one of the “summary pages” to get rich text with detailed weather information. Instead of radar (whose time stamp must be always be checked) Appy Weather sends a toast alert when precipitation is imminent and tells how long it will last. In just this first week of rainy New England fall weather I have come to realize that, frankly, that's exactly the information I need. Appy Weather is as engaging a non-game app as I have used on any platform and a great example of the richness and sophistication coming to Windows (phone) apps these days. Hyper-accurate too! Worth.every.penny!

Fantastic app. I don't normally write a review this quickly, but this app looks outstanding, especially for a version 1.0. Couple slight things I'd tweak, but definitely my day-to-day for now.

This quickly become my go to weather source! I've never experienced an app that communicates the weather in such a natural way, it's like I'm talking to a meteorologist!

The design and layout of this app is amazing. It is the best one I have ever seen. The developer responded very quickly to my feedback and seems truly dedicated to this app.

Was my favorite weather app for a long time, largely for its live tile. But it's time to update the app to a universal windows 10 app. Live tile stops working too frequently, opens too slowly, and its spartan appearance definitely need some attention. For now, I'm moving on. But if the dev shows it some love, maybe I'll be back to it. Wouldn't mind spending a couple bucks on a Windows 10 version, if it looks a lot prettier.

Gives you the info you most need up front but allows for more. Also love the amount of customization!

I have always preferred Windows Phone vs iPhone and Android. That said after several Windows phones from 7 to 8.1, I decided to become an iSheep. Oops this is an app review not what kind of operating system I most like. So on iphone many agree the best weather app is called Dark Sky. It is indeed a great weather app. I then left iworld had a galaxy edge 7 but didn't find any stand out weather apps on Android. There is one good beautiful Android weather app called Yo Window but it wouldn't win any accuracy award. Ah finally to Appy Weather I decided to go back to a Windows phone, got tte buggy but great 950xl. Fast forward i wanted a really good weather app and after trying several, I stumbled on Appy Weather.I was almost immediately blown away with how many features it has and how generally accurate it is. In my opinion this just may be The best weather app out there, even beating Dark Sky. To the point, this might be my best overall app on my whole phone GREAT weather app!!..
